Food Support Programs

Research shows that healthy eating provides essential energy and nutrients to maintain health and wellness.  Food delivery programs are designed to help bring food to people with limited ability to obtain food. Within this area, the Central Registry partners with local service providers and food support resources to help connect people to the services they need when they need them.

Meals on Wheels:

The Meals on Wheels program offers an extensive menu of choices to suit everyone’s dietary needs. Hot or frozen meals are delivered by volunteers. Additional frozen meals can be ordered and delivered with the lunch meal. There is no minimum or maximum time for our service, you are welcome to receive meals for a short duration if you are recuperating from an illness or longer if needed.

The Meals in Home program makes hot or frozen meals available to individuals who have physical and financial limitations. Applicants are assessed for eligibility by the Central Registry Team.

Food Advisor Supports:

There are different types of food support programs and services available in this community and sometimes it is hard to know where to start finding the one that is right for you.  The Central Registry can help direct you to the most appropriate services or resources based on your needs and circumstances.
